An Inconvenient Truth

We'll talk about this tomorrow, but as you watch the documentary An Inconvenient Truth, be thinking of the most important 2-3 underlying points....ones that if they are false, the whole thesis of the film falls apart and, if they are true, any other less consequential mistakes don't matter. See you tomorrow.

CO2 emissions are the omitted scientific issue upon which "An Inconvenient Truth" stands on.

In Affirmation of CO2 causing global warming I went to the IPCC website, but I was unable to find the actual data attributing CO2 to climate change. If someone else peruses it and finds it or knows of another website with information clarifying this issue I would love to know. http://www.ipcc.ch/publications_and_data/publications_ipcc_fourth_assessment_report_wg1_report_the_physical_science_basis.htm

In Refutation of CO2 causing global warming I found a very clear explanation here: http://www.junkscience.com/Greenhouse/

In addition: I searched the top 20 links on google under the search phrase "proof for CO2 affecting climate change" and was unable to find an actual affirmation of the idea. A lot of commentary with almost no facts.

I came across this movie on netflix, thought it may be relevant.

"Everythings cool" In this documentary, filmmakers Daniel B. Gold and Judith Helfand (Blue Vinyl) follow a troupe of self-proclaimed global warming "warriors" on a mission to get the world to care about rising temperatures and melting polar ice caps. Taking a topic that's inherently serious and applying their signature blend of humor and emotional heft, Gold and Helfand advance the environmental dialogue in a surprisingly entertaining way.
